Professional Societies

International Society on Quality of Life Research:
A non-profit society, founded in 1993, to advance the scientific study of health-related quality of life and other patient-centered outcomes to identify effective interventions, enhance the quality of health care, and promote the health of populations.
Scoliosis Research Society:
A professional organization, made up of physicians and allied health personnel. Their primary focus is on providing continuing medical education for healthcare professionals and on funding/supporting research in spinal deformities.
PROMIS Health Organization: 
A professional organization that fosters and supports a community of researchers, collects PRO data for research and improvements to PROMIS®, supports the addition of new domains and items to the system, tests the system for new populations, and maintains scientific integrity by demonstrating reliability, validity, and responsiveness.

North American Spine Society:
A professional society dedicated to education and research of spine conditions.

Cervical Spine Research Society:
A multidisciplinary organization that provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and promotes clinical and basic science

American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons:
Founded in 1933, the AAOS is the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and the world.
